If you'd like a movie or tv show added to Plex... this is the way.
NO more texting joel!
Go to www.donkey-teeth.com on any mobile device or computer. No joke. I shit you not. It's a real fucking website that will look similar to the screen print below (including saying "Overseerr"). Technically you are already here... but this happens to be my introductory welcome page on it. So welcome you piece of human pond scum! When you are ready, the menu button in the top right corner of the site should take you anywhere you want to go.
You can always bookmark this site or even add it to the home screen of your mobile device, in which case it will function almost like a native iOS or Android app.
It's easiest to just sign in using your Plex login credentials. These are normally your email address as your username and then whatever password you chose when you first signed up for Plex. And no... I don't know your god damn password so don't ask me what it is. You can always reset your password on www.plex.tv if you need to.
OK JOEL, I'M IN!
Now What?
Now you can search for whatever movie or TV show you'd like me to try to find. You'll also see a "Discover" section devoted to trending movies, shows, etc. It's up to you to decide how far down the rabbit hole of crazy content you are willing to go.
Media pages display organized, easy-to-digest information similar to the screen print below. It will list the premier date for the movie or show, if someone else has already requested it or not, if it is available to watch on any other streaming services, cast and crew info, and much more. There are usually even trailers and links to view that item on IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes, TheMovieDB, or TheTVDB so you can check out its scores, critic reviews, user reviews, etc.
And of course, if no one else has already requested that item then you can request that I add it to Donkey Teeth?! right there. But maybe the coolest part is that you'll even receive an email to let you know as soon as the movie or show is fully available to watch. How fucking sick is that?
You can also use this site to let me know if there are any issues with something that you tried to watch. Like maybe an episode of a show is missing or mislabeled. Or maybe a movie file seems corrupt and unwatchable. Or maybe you just want subtitles that I didn't have. Whatever the issue, you can let me know about it right through this site and I'll then see what I can do to fix it up.
Very importantly, however, remember that all requests are still subject to my approval. So "reality TV" is still a no go and I'm not adding all 1,095,642 episodes of General Hospital. If you really want that shit then build your own god damn Plex server. And always keep in mind that this is all just a hobby for me... you ain't paying me shit. That said, feel free to hit me up if you have any questions about anything.
